Theater 307 Broadway
Located on the Corner of Broadway and Third the million dollar Theater was built by Sid Grauman. And was name after the cost of building it 1919. as owned by a person who owned the theater and the Grand Central market. Unfortuantely He passed away close to two years ago.In 1917 the showman Sid Grauman comissioned Albert C Martin senior to design a theater on the ground floor what would become the Edison building a theater worthy of a city that was a film captiol of the world.
When the theater opened February 1 1918 hailed as the first great motion picture palaces, a model for a future sister theaters, Egyptian and Chinese. All kind of Silent movie stars came to the first opening movie Max Sennate's comedy the Silent Man.
At The Million Dollar Theater Downtown Los Angeles a closeup of a gargoil as a rain Gutter to let the water out. Very Scary, especially when he start spitting water at you.
A View above the million Dollar Theater at the Edison Building. What a site, I strongly reccomend seeing the great building in person. The Side of the building is really interesting too, Though I did not take a picture of it.
